States FA Cup competition delivered drama, upsets and new champions across Nigeria, with several teams booking places in the National President’s Federation Cup.
In Imo State, Campos Football Academy claimed the men’s title with a 2-0 win over OISA FC in Owerri. Ehirim Dikachi opened the scoring before Nnadi Chukwuemeka sealed victory late on.
Campos had earlier knocked out holders Heartland FC on penalties, while OISA FC edged Okpotemba FC to reach the final.
In the women’s final, Heartland Queens staged a stunning comeback from 2-0 down to beat Ikukuoma Queens 3-2, capitalising on their opponents’ lack of depth in the second half.
Lagos also produced excitement as debutants Ghetto Tigers Ladies reached the final with a 3-2 win over DreamStar Ladies. Chidera Isaiah scored twice, including a decisive header, to set up a final clash with Robo Queens.
In Delta State, Delta Queens defeated Royal Queens 3-1 to win the women’s title. The men’s final saw De Sapele Lions beat Warri Wolves 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Edo State champions Bendel Insurance secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Westgate FC to retain the title they won last year.
In Benue, Flight FC edged Lobi Stars 1-0, though both teams advanced to the national stage.
Oyo State’s final saw Crown FC defeat Shooting Stars (3SC) 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Elsewhere, Enyimba dominated Ahudiyannem 4-0 with Ahudiyannem Queens beating Abia Angels 2-0 to win the Women's final, while Bida Lions beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 in Niger FA Cup final.
Wikki Tourists advanced via penalties after a goalless draw with Warinji FC in Bauchi, and Nasarawa United secured a 1-0 win over Basira FC in the Nasarawa FA Cup final.
In Ondo State, Sunshine Stars U-19 defeated Adamimogo FC 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Akwa Ibom delivered double triumphs as Ibom Angels won the women’s title 2-0 against Solo Wonders, while Akwa United claimed the men’s crown with a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Godswill Akpabio United after a goalless draw.
