The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (Ekklessiyan Yan'Uwa Nigeria, EYN), a major denomination in the North East, has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s decision to collaborate with the United States in addressing insecurity.
Speaking at the 2026 Ministers’ Conference at the EYN headquarters in Kwarhi, Adamawa State, the church’s President, Rev. Daniel Mbaya, said Tinubu, as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, made the right decision to seek international assistance to curb rising threats.

“We commend the President for partnering with the United States to combat terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, militia groups, and Islamic fundamentalist factions,” Mbaya stated, adding that all necessary measures to restore security should be supported.
The EYN President also praised the Federal Government for the reduced prices of foodstuffs but cautioned that the high cost of agricultural inputs, including fertilizer, herbicides, and tractors, continues to burden farmers. “While the drop in local food prices is commendable, the steep cost of farming inputs leaves farmers at a significant disadvantage,” he said.
