The inaugural service was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. (WAT) at Paradise Event Arena in Ebute-Metta, Lagos. It attracted worshippers from across Nigeria and beyond, marking what organisers described as a landmark gathering intended to usher believers into a “new season of grace and manifestation.”
Speaking at the event, Pastor Umoru described the service as more than a routine church meeting, calling it a “divine appointment” with deep spiritual significance. He declared that IMS would usher in “unusual testimonies, undeniable miracles, and supernatural shifts,” with expectations of healing, deliverance, and breakthrough experiences.
The launch comes amid growing attention on the pastor’s ministry direction in recent months, including discussions around his administrative status and reported transitions from previous affiliations. Despite this, he continues to emphasise spiritual depth and doctrinal grounding in worship, advocating a return to hymn-based expressions that he says “prepare the soul” and deepen encounters with God.
Organisers noted that the International Miracle Service will continue as a weekly gathering every Wednesday, featuring intensive prayer sessions, prophetic ministrations, and teachings centred on faith, restoration, and divine empowerment.
Participants have been encouraged to attend with expectation and spiritual readiness. As Pastor Umoru urged, “Come hungry. Come expectant. Come with faith in your heart.”
