The African Export Club has reaffirmed its commitment to boosting participation in Nigeria’s non-oil export sector through a structured, community-driven engagement model to improve access, awareness, and coordination across the export ecosystem.
The organisation, registered with the Lagos State Government, said its initiative focuses on encouraging greater individual involvement in export-related activities by promoting collaboration, education, and practical exposure to international trade processes.
According to the Club, Nigeria has vast opportunities in agricultural and commodity exports, but participation at the individual and small-scale levels remains low due to information gaps, limited structure, and restricted access to established trade channels.
To address these challenges, the African Export Club explained that it has developed a platform designed to help participants better understand export procedures, market requirements, and the operational dynamics of cross-border trade.
The organisation added that its activities are centred on identifying opportunities across key value chains while supporting a coordinated approach that allows members to engage in the export process in an informed and structured manner. It noted that transparency, capacity building, and compliance with relevant trade standards remain central to its operations.
The Club emphasized that raising awareness and participation in export activities is critical to advancing Nigeria’s economic diversification, especially as non-oil revenue sources become increasingly vital to national growth.
African Export Club further disclosed plans to sustain its engagement with stakeholders across the export value chain and to build a network of individuals equipped to capitalise on emerging trade opportunities.
It reiterated that its long-term goal is to support the development of a more inclusive export ecosystem that encourages participation beyond traditional commercial players.
The organisation advised interested individuals to follow its official communication channels for further updates and information.
