The Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Reuben Izeze, has dismissed claims that the state government has not executed significant projects in Ndokwa and Ukwuani areas, describing the allegation as false and misleading.

Izeze was reacting to comments by Chuks Erhire, an aide to former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, who in a viral video challenged residents of Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East and Ukwuani local government areas to identify any major project undertaken by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.

Erhire had alleged that despite over N2 trillion in allocations, no meaningful development had taken place.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Izeze accused Erhire of spreading “innuendos, outright falsehood and incitement,” noting that while political advocacy was expected, misinformation should not be tolerated.

“I do not have a quarrel with your efforts to market your principal, but the moment you degenerated into outright falsehood and incitement, it became necessary to set the record straight,” he said.
