The Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria is set to honour Nigerian-born innovator Onyinyechukwu Gift Ositadinma for her groundbreaking contributions to digital health, particularly in transforming cancer support systems across borders.

Ositadinma, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Compass UK, has emerged as a leading voice in the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with a focus on supporting cancer patients, survivors, and their families. She will be recognised at a special event scheduled to hold in Asaba, Delta State.

Cancer Compass UK is an AI-powered platform designed to guide individuals through every stage of the cancer journey—from diagnosis and treatment to recovery and survivorship. By providing personalised support, accessible medical information, and emotional care resources, the platform is helping to reduce the burden associated with the disease.

Ositadinma said her work is driven by a core belief that no individual should face cancer alone. This conviction has shaped the development of a system that not only informs patients but also empowers them to make better health decisions, while offering families the support needed during difficult periods.

Though based in the United Kingdom, her impact continues to resonate in Nigeria, where access to structured cancer support systems remains limited in many communities. Her recognition in Asaba highlights the growing importance of celebrating Nigerians in the diaspora who are contributing to global development while inspiring change at home.

According to the organisers, the honour recognises innovation, courage, and service to humanity. “Ositadinma represents the very best of Nigerian excellence—resilient, forward-thinking, and committed to solving real-world problems,” a representative of the association said.

The event is expected to attract media professionals, healthcare advocates, and community leaders, underscoring the significance of her work in redefining cancer care through technology.

As global efforts advance, Cancer Solutions: Ositadinma’s work shows how compassionate innovation can transform lives and expand access to critical support systems.
