Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will be aiming to become the fifth Nigerian to lift the Coppa Italia trophy when Lazio take on Inter Milan in the final next month.

Maurizio Sarri’s side defeated Atalanta on penalties to reach the final of the competition on Wednesday.

Former Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins was the first Nigerian to lay his hands on the trophy.

Martins was later joined on the exclusive list by Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro.

Dele-Bashiru will also be chasing his first silverware since arriving at Lazio two years ago from Turkish Super Lig club, Hatayspor.

The Coppa Italia final will be played at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on May 13.
