The people of Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, where Senate President Godswill Akpabio hails from, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term.

The solidarity was expressed at a mobilisation rally organised by the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) at Afaha Ikot Ebak in Essien Udim Council.

They also pledged to support the re-election of Senator Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno.

The occasion featured the inauguration of RHI chapter executives, ward structures and advisory council.

President-General of RHI in Akwa Ibom State, Uwem Okoko, said the initiative would deepen grassroots mobilisation for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

He called on residents to work with the new structures to strengthen the party and prepare for the re-election of Tinubu, Akpabio and Eno.

“Today will remain historic. We have spoken as a people, reaffirming our unity and determination to build a stronger state,” Okoko said.

RHI Coordinator for Essien Udim Local Government, Ntiedo Usoro, thanked the leadership for finding him worthy to lead the initiative in the area.

He promised to collaborate with other stakeholders in Essien Udim Council to ensure victory for APC in the 2027 general election.
