Court adjourns Auxillary’s trial for ruling till May 20

An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has adjourned for ruling, the murder charge against the former chairman, Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi popularly known as ‘Auxiliary’, till May 20.

The court presided over by Justice E. O. Ajayi adjourned for the ruling based on the submission of the defence counsel, Olalekan Ojo SAN, that there are no more witnesses for the trial.

The Nation reports that the former chairman of the proscribed National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State is facing a one count charge of murder.

Recall that it was reported the defendant allegedly committed the offence about 23rd day of September, 2023 at about 1630hrs at G.R.A Agodi, Ibadan where one Wonuola Ayinde was knocked down and crushed to death.

The offence, according to the charge sheet, is contrary to Section 317 and punishable under Section 325 of the Criminal Code, Cap, 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.

Ojo, however, prayed for a date for adoption on the trial when the final judgment on the trial will be delivered.
