“As earlier communicated, the patient is responding to treatment and is in good condition,” he said.

The state government also dismissed reports from some media outlets alleging the discovery of 10 new cases with COVID-19 symptoms, describing such claims as misleading and inconsistent with official records.

In a statement issued by the ministry, it clarified that the state still has only one confirmed case of COVID-19, with no additional infections recorded.

The commissioner explained that the individuals referenced in the reports are contacts of the confirmed case identified through routine tracing, and not new or suspected cases.

The ministry further noted that none of the identified contacts is currently exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19.

It explained that contacts are persons who have had close contact with a confirmed case, suspected cases are those showing symptoms, and confirmed cases are those who have tested positive by laboratory diagnosis.

According to the ministry, the identified contacts have been placed under home isolation and are being monitored daily as a precautionary measure.

It stressed to them that the action is preventive and does not indicate new infections.

The state government reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and urged residents to rely on official information, assuring that there is no cause for alarm as the situation remains under control.
