The outgoing Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in the Federal Executive Council.
Dangiwa, who reacted to the recent cabinet reshuffle approved by the president, described his tenure as both a privilege and a call to national service.
He said he remained honoured to have been entrusted with leading reforms in Nigeria’s housing and urban development sector.
“I sincerely thank Mr President for the confidence he reposed in me to serve as Minister of Housing and Urban Development. It has been a rare privilege to contribute to policies and programmes aimed at expanding access to affordable housing for Nigerians,” he said.

The minister noted that under Tinubu’s administration, the ministry recorded progress in repositioning the housing sector as a driver of economic growth, job creation and social inclusion.
He highlighted key initiatives such as the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, strengthened public-private partnerships in housing delivery, and reforms in land administration and housing finance.
He also appreciated members of the Federal Executive Council, government officials, heads of housing institutions, development partners and ministry staff for their support during his tenure.
Dangiwa assured that he would ensure a smooth handover in line with the president’s directive, expressing confidence in the incoming leadership to sustain and build on the achievements recorded so far.
He reaffirmed his commitment to national development and pledged continued support for efforts aimed at advancing housing, infrastructure and economic growth in the country.
