Management giant, Deloitte, and Rotary International District 9111 have collaborated to celebrate International Women's Day in Ikeja, Lagos.
The event, held at the weekend, brought together women and over 38 pupils from some schools in the state, namely Ewutuntun Senior Grammar School, Oshodi; Estate Junior Grammar School, llupeju and Estate Senior Grammar School, Ilupeju.
Deliote Human Resource Leader, West Africa, Mrs Ekhoe Ame-Ogie, said their objective was to hone the skills of the pupils and prepare them for future leadership.
She praised the collaboration, noting that both focus on touching lives.

She urged the pupils to learn from their stories, and counselled them on their career choices.
Guest speaker/Tax Manager, Deloitte, Omolara Laleye, who shared her story, asked the girls to learn from it.
She said the road to success is not paved with gold. She said they needed perseverance, and hardwork, among others, to succeed. "Keep trying. The future is bright," she advised.
Women in Rotary Vice Chair, Sandra Mukoro, said women shouldn't relent in their dreams. "They should keep pushing. They should keep showing up and keep impacting our world. I think the theme is lead. "Give to gain.: So bringing Deloitte is using that as an opportunity to celebrate these young girls, to celebrate women. And the take-home for the young girls is that they should always be consistent in their studies. not relenting on their dreams, not shying away from opportunities, and at the end of the day, they remain top in their class
"We are also empowering them as well and celebrating them."
Partner, Deloitte Assurance Touché Nigeria, Ibukun Beecroft, who was a guest speaker, urged the pupils to imbibe the four Cs of success: Confidence, Character, Curiosity and Courage.
Rotary DIstrict 9111 Governor Prince Henry Akinyele, described the partnership as good, saying their aim was to inspire the girls to attain greater heights.
