The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its state congress will hold on March 3, 2026, in Asaba, as part of the party’s nationwide congresses.

The event, scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Cenotaph, Asaba, is expected to draw statutory delegates, party leaders, and stakeholders from across the state.

In a statement on Sunday by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the exercise is being conducted in accordance with the party’s constitution and the guidelines for nationwide congresses approved by the National Working Committee (NWC).

The State Working Committee (SWC) of the APC in Delta State, led by Chairman Elder Omeni Sobotie, has invited statutory delegates, key stakeholders, and party leaders from across the state to participate.

Also listed are members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), serving and former members of the Delta State House of Assembly, elected Council Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, and all elected Councillors in the state.

Other attendees include Local Government Area party Chairmen, Secretaries, and executive committee members; five delegates per ward (including two women); members of the Zonal Executive Committee; and ward executives — namely the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Woman Leader, Youth Leader, and Special Leader — drawn from the state’s 270 wards.

Additionally, all leaders invited to the Stakeholders’ Meeting held on January 23, 2026, are expected to attend.

The APC reaffirmed its commitment to the “Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda” and urged party faithful to turn out in large numbers for the State Congress.
