The Delta State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered firearms and live cartridges in separate operations across the State.

Spokesman Bright Edafe revealed this in a statement on Thursday.

He said on March 9, 2026, police operatives from ‘A’ Division, Warri, responded to a distress call reporting an attempted armed robbery at a private residence in Egbokodo Itsekiri Community.

He said the team, working with community members, cordoned off the area and arrested Emmanuel Solomon, 38.

Edafe said during a search of the scene, officers recovered two double-barreled cut-to-size guns and five live cartridges. Investigations are ongoing, he stated.

The spokesman also said that on March 25, 2026, the Command’s Raiders Squad apprehended Aminu Inusa, 23, along the Benin–Asaba Expressway near Custom Market, Oshimili North LGA.

He said a search on him revealed a locally fabricated Beretta pistol.

He said the suspect is in custody as investigations continue.

The State Police Command commended its officers for their swift response and professionalism.

The command urged members of the public to continue providing credible information to help combat crime in the state.
