Veteran producer Olumide Ogunade popularly known as ID Cabasa has called on Christian creatives to pursue careers in the secular space, rejecting the notion that the space is inherently ungodly.

Cabasa on X, said the claim that the devil owns secular space is false and is used to discourage Christians from participating in mainstream entertainment.

He argued that while sin and carnality belong to the devil, the earth and everything in it belongs to God, and therefore Christians have a right to operate in all spheres, including music.

On his X handle, he wrote, “If you are a Christian creatives within the secular space please pay attention! There’s an agenda to dissuade you from taking that space with a lie that the devil own that space! The devil owns Sin and carnality ‘Yes.’ But the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof.”

Cabasa said evil persists in the world due to a shortage of light and urged Christian artists to engage the industry as a way to counter it.

He insisted that the influence of Christian creatives cannot be overpowered by negative forces within the space.

He warned that people with limited knowledge often misinterpret scripture, and believers should evaluate teachings within the proper context.

"Even the devil knows scripture, so test all spirits with proper interpretation and context of what scripture is saying not what it’s being interpreted as by people with half knowledge", he added.

He added that some former believers twist scripture to justify their lifestyle and undermine others’ faith.

"Some people that were in the faith but opt out looking for narratives to justify their new found reckless living, will quote scriptures with wrong interpretations and context to attack your beliefs and cast doubt", he concluded.
