Legal practitioner, public affairs analyst, and prominent digital content creator, Oluwatodimu Ige, aka Oga_theLawyer, has been officially appointed as a Notary Public, marking a notable advancement in his legal career.

The appointment underscores Ige’s continued evolution as a modern legal professional, known for bridging the gap between conventional legal practice and accessible online advocacy.

Over the years, he has cultivated a strong following by simplifying complex legal concepts for a wider audience while maintaining an active practice.

Reflecting on the new role, Ige described it as both a privilege and a heightened responsibility. According  to him, the office of a Notary Public is deeply anchored in trust, integrity, and the formal authentication of legal documents, functions that carry both local and international relevance.

“This milestone goes beyond personal achievement; it is a call to greater professional responsibility,” he said. “The role allows me to authenticate documents, administer oaths, and support legal processes that require international recognition, particularly in cross-border transactions.”

With a practice that focuses largely on debt recovery and commercial law, Ige explained that the notary designation naturally complements his existing work. He noted that many of the cases he handles involve documentation that must meet strict evidentiary and global standards.

“In many recovery and commercial matters, documentation is critical. As a Notary Public, I can now ensure that such documents meet the highest standards of credibility and are legally recognised across jurisdictions,” he added.
