A leading governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, has urged Christians to take advantage of the Easter season to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity of Nigeria and Oyo State.
He emphasised the need for stability as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.

A statement by Buhari stressed the importance of having credible leaders at all levels of government, calling on Christians to pray for Nigeria and Oyo State to be led by individuals committed to delivering good governance.
He noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to making sacrifices to improve the lives of the masses, and Christians should support the efforts of good leaders through their prayers.
The aspirant expressed hope that Christians would pray for the APC to select a candidate who can win the governorship election, someone with the capacity to deliver on the party's promises.
Senator Buhari called on Christians to uphold the teachings of the Lent period, by exhibiting good virtues and values as charged by Jesus Christ, and to continually seek blessings and favour.
He, however, prayed that Christians in Oyo North, Oyo State, and Nigeria would celebrate many happy returns of Easter Sunday, enjoying peace, joy, and prosperity.
