A  retired pastor with the Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA), Rev Sunday Agang, has been abducted by gunmen.

A family source said about eight gunmen invaded the cleric’s residence at Farin-Gada, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, in the early hours of yesterday and whisked him at gunpoint to an unknown destination.

The source added that the gunmen arrived at the house about 5:00 am when the family were still in bed, adding that they forced their way into the house and held the family hostage before the head of the family was taken away.

“Before the family could raise an alarm, the kidnappers had disappeared with their victim in a car brought by the undesirable elements,” the source said.

Also, another source close to the headquarters of the church in Jos said the authorities have reported to the appropriate quarters, adding that they were making efforts to trace the kidnappers to their hideout.

It was further gathered that the kidnappers, at the time of filing this report, had yet to get in touch with the family and the church authority for possible ransom. A  retired pastor with the Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA), Rev Sunday Agang, has been abducted by gunmen.
