The exercise was reported to be peaceful across all local government areas.
Among those returned as candidates are Osaro Eribo (Egor), Eriamatoe Christopher (Ovia North East), Johnson Osagie (Orhionmwon), Gabriel Iduseri (Oredo), Aikpokpo Enahoro (Owan West), and Lawson Imafidon (Uhunmwode).
Chairman of the APC Local Government Primary Election Committee, Abdullahi Bello, commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for what he described as his commitment to democratic principles.
Bello said the orderly conduct of the exercise reflected the leadership style in the state and the party’s internal cohesion ahead of the polls.
