The All Progressives Congress in Edo State, on Friday, conducted its primary for the July 11 local government elections.
A total of 16 out of the 18 Acting Chairmen were elected as candidates of the party in the indirect primary.

Two Acting Chairmen that failed to make it were that of Ovia North East and Ovia South West.
The primary was peaceful across the 18 local government areas.

Among those that were elected candidates were Osaro Eribo (Egor LGA)
Eriamatoe Christopher (Ovia North East) Johnson Osagie (Orhionmwon) Gabriel Iduseri (Oredo) Aikpokpo Enahoro (Owan West) and Lawson Imafidon (Uhunmwode).
Chairman of the APC local government primary election committee, Abdullahi Bello, praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for demonstrating true democratic credentials.
He said the peaceful conduct of the primary was a reflection of the leadership in the state.
