Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate Adewale Adebayo on Thursday extended Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful, urging them to uphold the values of sacrifice, tolerance, and unity.
The trio also called for prayers toward a peaceful and credible governorship election in Osun State in 2026.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke assured the Muslim community in the state of his administration’s continued commitment to their welfare and inclusion. He said the government remains attentive to their aspirations, values their contributions, and will continue to protect their rights, support their institutions, and ensure equitable participation in governance and development initiatives.
The governor further urged the Muslim Ummah to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to offer prayers for Osun’s local government system against what he described as political saboteurs and power mongers. He also encouraged residents to celebrate peacefully, support one another, and extend kindness to the less privileged.
Oyebamiji in his message urged residents to await good governance as he assured citizens of an inclusive, participatory, masses-focused and people-oriented government when elected Governor this year, saying "let's await good governance that would be the pride of all."

“I want to assure the people of the state that when elected, I will address the issue of infrastructural decay and favouritism in project allocation.”
