The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and her Kwara North counterpart, Sadiq Suleiman Umar, have called on Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion and collective responsibility as Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.

In separate Sallah messages to their constituents and the Muslim Ummah, the lawmakers urged citizens to sustain the virtues of sacrifice, patience and generosity imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan.

Akpoti-Uduaghan, in her message to the people of Kogi Central, described Eid-el-Fitr as a significant spiritual milestone symbolising devotion and total submission to the will of Allah.

“Eid Mubarak to the great people of Kogi Central. May this blessed season strengthen our unity, deepen our faith, and bring peace and prosperity to every home,” she said.

She stressed that the lessons of Ramadan should inspire renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence, tolerance and mutual respect across religious and ethnic divides.

“The spirit of sacrifice and compassion demonstrated during Ramadan should guide our daily interactions and strengthen our collective resolve to build a more peaceful and prosperous Kogi Central,” she added.

The lawmaker also urged residents to use the festive period to pray for peace, stability and development in Kogi State and Nigeria, while reaffirming her commitment to effective representation and inclusive development.

Similarly, Umar extended warm greetings to Muslims in Kwara State and across the country, congratulating them on the successful completion of Ramadan, which he described as a period of deep reflection, discipline and devotion.
