The council boss further emphasised the significance of the outreach initiative, describing it as a people-centered intervention that aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He stated that the councillors had remained attentive to the yearnings of their constituents across the six political wards in Ejigbo and had responded by bringing meaningful relief and support to those in need.
Leader of the Sixth Legislative Council, Gabriel Shobande, expressed appreciation to the Chairman for consistently fostering cordiality and cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Arms, noting that the healthy working relationship had continued to yield positive results for the community.
Addressing stakeholders, APC party faithful, and beneficiaries at the programme, Shobande announced that he, alongside other councillors, would be disbursing a N50,000 cash grant to 50 widowers, facilitating free enrollment for 300 vulnerable residents into the Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme, and distributing food packages to 200 households.
“It is noteworthy that this initiative complements the earlier comprehensive livelihood support programme launched by Aare T.A.T, which was designed to enhance the socio-economic wellbeing of residents across Ejigbo LCDA. The programme provided financial assistance, tools, and essential materials to widows, vulnerable individuals, and small business owners, further emphasizing the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable community development,” he said.
