The Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (T.A.T), has performed the groundbreaking for the construction of Morning Star Nursery and Primary School in Aigbaka Ward, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots education.
Speaking during the ceremony, Taiwo described the proposed school as a modern educational facility designed to meet contemporary learning standards and provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

He assured residents and stakeholders that the project would be executed using certified building materials that meet approved standards, noting that this would ensure durability, safety, and long-term value for the community.
The council boss revealed that the land earmarked for the school was originally proposed for use as a community cemetery but was later reconsidered in favour of a developmental project with broader benefits for the community.

According to him, education represents a more enduring legacy capable of shaping both present and future generations.
Taiwo added that the project reflects his administration’s commitment to investing in the intellectual and moral development of children across Ejigbo. He noted that the school would help expand access to quality basic education and position pupils for a brighter and more competitive future.

According to him, the design of the school includes provisions for children with special needs, ensuring inclusivity and equal learning opportunities for all pupils in the area.
The chairman urged residents, community leaders and other stakeholders to take collective ownership of the project by monitoring its progress and supporting the contractors to ensure transparency, accountability and timely completion.
The Councillor representing Aigbaka Ward, Idowu Taiwo Hazzan, commended the council chairman for responding to the educational needs of the ward and Ejigbo LCDA at large.
He noted that the construction of the school would improve educational standards, stimulate growth and promote sustainable development within the community.
Hazzan also encouraged residents to actively safeguard the project to ensure its successful completion.
The event was attended by community leaders, stakeholders, party faithful, management staff of the council and residents of Aigbaka Ward, who expressed optimism about the positive impact the project would have on the community.
