The Elders Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on the landmark court judgment, which unequivocally reaffirmed his candidature at the June 26 poll.

The forum in a statement by its chairman, Chief Adebayo Oni, and Secretary, Babatunde Odetola, “rejoiced with the governor on this issue, which had momentarily served as a point of distraction, but has now been conclusively resolved in his favour.”

According to the group, “the clarity provided by this judicial pronouncement offers a renewed sense of direction and unity for all members and stakeholders of our party in Ekiti State.”

“Your conduct has once again, demonstrated exemplary leadership and deep respect for the institutions of our democracy.”

It added: We equally express our profound gratitude to His Excellency, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering and unflinching support to our amiable Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. His steadfast commitment to the progress and stability of Ekiti State continues to inspire confidence and unity within our party and the broader citizenry.

“In appreciation of this enduring support, we wish to assure Mr. President of our total loyalty and commitment, as we pledge to deliver overwhelming and bountiful votes in his favour during the forthcoming second-term elections in February 2027.

“”We call on all party faithful, supporters, and stakeholders to close ranks and rally behind the Governor as we collectively work towards consolidating the gains of his administration and ensuring a resounding victory for the APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in June, 20th 2026.

“We congratulate His Excellency on this well-deserved victory and assure him of our continued support, guidance, and solidarity.”
