Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and prominent member, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo.

Her resignation letter, addressed to the Chairman, Ward 1, Ona Ara local government area of Oyo State, dated March 30th, 2026, is with immediate effect.

According to the chieftain in the letter, the decision was not taken lightly, given the fact that she has been a member of the party since 2001.
