The League of Lagos State Former Council Chairmen has congratulated the elected State Officers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing their emergence as a clear testament to their dedication, experience and outstanding contributions to the growth of the party in Lagos State.

In a statement by its Coordinator, Rasheed Mafe, the league expressed pride in the leadership qualities demonstrated by the officers, noting that their continued service would further strengthen the party’s structure and unity across the state.

The group particularly congratulated the APC State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, whose leadership it said has continued to guide the party towards stability, progress and sustained electoral success.

According to the statement, Ojelabi’s ability to foster unity within the party and maintain a strong organisational structure has played a critical role in consolidating the APC’s position as the dominant political force in Lagos State.

The league also congratulated Chief Abayomi Daramola on his re-election as Vice Chairman (Lagos Central), noting that his wealth of experience and strategic insight would continue to add value to the party’s leadership and strengthen its operations across the district.

Similarly, Dr. Adeola Jokomba, who returned as the State Secretary, was praised for his administrative competence and commitment to effective party management. The former council chairmen expressed confidence that his organisational ability would further enhance the efficiency of the party’s internal processes.

The statement applauded Seye Oladejo, re-elected as the State Publicity Secretary, for his impactful role in shaping the party’s communication strategy and projecting its activities and achievements to the public.

In the same vein, Ayodele Adewale, re-elected as the State Organising Secretary, was commended for his strong commitment to grassroots mobilisation and party coordination across Lagos State.

The league noted that Adewale’s efforts in strengthening grassroots engagement have significantly contributed to the party’s continued political dominance and electoral successes in the state.

While wishing the officers a successful tenure, Mafe reaffirmed the league’s support for the party leadership and urged them to continue to uphold the progressive ideals of the APC.

“As you embark on this new term of service, be assured of our full support and encouragement. Together, we will continue to work towards a brighter future for our party and the people of Lagos State,” he said.
