The ten-time African champions continue to lead the continent comfortably. South Africa Banyana Banyana sit second in Africa (58th globally), followed by Ghana ‘s Black Queens in the 59th and Morocco’ Atlas Lionesses 62nd . Zambia women's national team complete Africa’s top five at 64th in the world.
Nigeria’s inactivity was due to the late cancellation of planned friendlies against Cape Verde. However, the Falcons had earlier split results in a two-match friendly series against Cameroon Women's National Team in Yaoundé where they won one and lost one.
Spain retained the number one ranking worldwide, ahead of the United States in second, with England, Germany, and Japan rounding out the top five.
