Annabelle, daughter of  former Nigeria  international,  Olusoji  Fasuba,  delivered one of the standout performances of the UK National Indoor Championships as she stormed to victory in the girls’ U17 60 metres final at the event held in Sheffield, England last weekend.

The teenage sprinter blazed to an electrifying 7.36 seconds, obliterating her personal best while simultaneously setting championship, club, and age-grade records in a single breath-taking run.

Fasuba’s performance was made even more emphatic as she dethroned the defending champion, underlining her rapid rise on the international youth sprinting scene and justifying the growing buzz around her recent adidas signing.

Athletic excellence clearly runs deep in the Fasuba household. Her mother, Ngozi Fasuba, was a distinguished quarter-miler during her competitive years, while her father, Olusoji , is one of Africa’s most decorated sprinters — a former world indoor 60m champion and multiple African champion.

With this record-breaking display in Sheffield, Annabelle Fasuba has announced herself not just as a talent for the future, but as a young sprinter already capable of delivering performances of historic significance.
