Ekiti State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum has rejoiced with two of its most distinguished and outstanding political leaders, whose birthdays were celebrated this month, for their contributions to the growth, stability and political development of Ekiti State.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Adebayo Oni, and Secretary, Basorun Odetola Babatunde, the forum felicitates Otunba Niyi Adebayo, the first governor of Ekiti State and the revered patron of Ekiti State APC Elders’ Forum, on the occasion of his birthday, which was marked on February 4.
It says Adebayo remains a trailblazer and a statesman of uncommon grace.

‘’The man who laid the solid foundation upon which the development of Ekiti State has continued to thrive. An Omoluabi Governor in the true sense, Adebayo is widely respected as a man of honour, discipline, humility and high integrity. ‘’Since assuming the role of patron of the APC Elders’ Forum, he has consistently shown exceptional care, concern and fatherly support to the elders, a gesture that has endeared him even more to all.
‘’While we sincerely apologise for this message coming after the date, we firmly believe it is better late than never. We, therefore, celebrate him and pray that God grants him many more years of celebration in sound mind, robust health and enduring peace.’’
In the same vein, the forum celebrates ‘’our former governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as he marks his 61st birthday.’’
