The Luqmaan Olabode Kehinde (LOK) Foundation has distributed free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration forms to pupils in the Onigbongbo area of Lagos State, as part of efforts to expand access to tertiary education.
The annual initiative, which targets indigent secondary school leavers within the Ikeja constituency, aims to ease the financial burden of JAMB registration and encourage eligible candidates to pursue higher education. Over 100 pupils have benefited from the programme so far, with organisers noting growing interest even after the registration window closed.
Speaking at the presentation, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Luqmaan Olabode Kehinde, said the initiative aligned with the foundation’s core objectives of supporting child education, empowering women and youths, creating opportunities, and fostering community development.

According to him, the free JAMB forms programme, launched in 2019, is designed to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent academically capable students from sitting for the examination required for admission into tertiary institutions. He added that beneficiaries were required to possess their O’Level results and be residents of the Ikeja constituency.

Kehinde said the programme is supported annually by members of the LOK family and friends, some of whom sponsor a specific number of candidates each year. He noted that the foundation also provides follow-up support to some beneficiaries, including assistance with admission processes and, in certain cases, financial aid for school fees.
Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Hakeem Shittu, who was represented by Alhaja Iyabo Akerele, commended the foundation for complementing government efforts in education.
He described the initiative as a strategic intervention that alignedwith the Lagos State Government’s vision of empowering youths through accessible and quality education, stressing that education reform required collaboration between the public sector and non-state actors.
He urged the pupils to maximise the opportunity, noting that the provision of JAMB forms represented an investment whose returns depend on discipline and adequate preparation.
He emphasised the role of educated youths in building a greater Lagos, calling on the pupils to remain focused and committed to their academic goals.
