French Embassy in Nigeria is collaborating with Nigeria French Language Village (NFLV), Badagry, Lagos to improve teaching of French language in higher institutions.

Speaking during a three day programme at the village, the French Language Attaché in Nigeria, Mrs Magaly Lasange, said the programme would improve learning and training among students and workers.

She said the three-day programme was a direct answer to request for demand by French language teachers to improve teaching and training of French language.

“They believe that as much as French language is important for Nigerians in Nigeria, there are still other concerns about the opportunity offered to those who can speak French.’’

The Chief Executive Officer, NFLV, Badagry, Prof Samuel Oladipo, said the programme would benefit students and workers of the institution.

“This institution is the centre for French study in Nigeria. This is a train trainer course. When our workers are trained, they will be able to train other staff who will now teach French in Nigeria,’’ he said.
