The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, has recorded a 100 per cent conviction rate following a mobile court sitting in Abeokuta, where 25 traffic offenders were prosecuted and found guilty.
The session, held at the RS2.2 Sector Command headquarters, was presided over by Chief Magistrate O.T. Odubanjo and focused on motorists accused of various road safety violations across major routes in the state.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Sector’s Public Relations Officer, Odunsi Afolabi, disclosed that all 25 offenders arraigned were convicted, with no discharges recorded.
Despite the total convictions, none of the offenders received custodial sentences.
Afolabi noted that 46 offences were documented and penalised, underscoring the command’s resolve to enforce compliance with traffic regulations.

The violations ranged from failure to install speed-limiting devices and absence of valid driver’s licences to overloading, seatbelt infractions, improper vehicle documentation, and number plate irregularities.
Reacting, the Ogun State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, described the mobile court initiative as a critical component of efforts to curb road traffic crashes and fatalities.
He said the zero-discharge outcome reflects both the effectiveness of enforcement operations and the judiciary’s commitment to ensuring accountability among motorists.
The FRSC added that the exercise serves as a deterrent, reinforcing its zero-tolerance approach to traffic violations and its commitment to protecting lives and property on Nigerian roads.
