As part of its commitment to supporting emerging institutions and contributing to educational development, Tony Pakads and Associates Limited has donated a multipurpose system and other office equipment to the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN).

The donation was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, alongside other principal officers of the university at a brief presentation ceremony held on the campus.

Making the presentation to the university, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Mr. Ero Anthony, revealed that the donation forms part of the company’s longstanding tradition of corporate social responsibility aimed at supporting institutions that demonstrate growth, vision, and impact.

He described FUTES-IYIN as a fast-growing university whose rapid infrastructural and academic development under the leadership of Aribisala has become commendable and worthy of support.

“Whenever a new university is established, especially within our environment, we see it as a responsibility to contribute meaningfully. It is not just about coming to benefit from the system; we must also give back, and that is exactly what we have done,” he said.

Mr. Anthony further noted that although the university was established alongside others within the same period, its level of development stands out.

“I have visited about three other newly established universities, but the level of development and infrastructural presence here is quite remarkable. In fact, one of them is yet to take off. I was surprised to see between 15 to 20 structures already in place in a university that started barely a year ago. I am proud of what Prof. Aribisala and his team have achieved,” he added.

Anthony also used the occasion to urge other corporate organisations and well-meaning individuals to emulate similar initiatives, noting that FUTES-IYIN holds great potential as the first fully inclined University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, with a clear vision for innovation, sustainability, and national development.

Receiving the donation, Aribisala expressed profound appreciation to the firm for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.

He noted that the donated items would significantly enhance administrative efficiency and support the university’s drive toward excellence in service delivery.

“This gesture is a strong vote of confidence in what we are building here. We are grateful for this support, which will go a long way in strengthening our operational capacity,” the Vice.Chancellor said.

Aribisala reiterated the university’s commitment to maintaining high standards in infrastructure development, academic excellence, and community engagement.
