Reigning Süper Lig champions Galatasaray are reportedly considering a move for George Ilenikhena as doubts grow over the youngster’s form in Saudi Arabia.

The 19-year-old, who joined Al-Ittihad in February 2026, has made five appearances but is yet to find the back of the net.

The goal drought has reportedly raised internal concerns at the club despite the significant investment made to recruit him. He joined the Saudi giants in a £33 million move from AS Monaco.

Reports suggest Galatasaray’s interest is still in the early stages but carries clear intent, with the Turkish side viewing the young striker as a long-term option should star forward Victor Osimhen leave this summer.

Osimhen has enjoyed a stellar season with Galatasaray, scoring 12 goals in 19 league appearances, putting him on the radar of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

That growing transfer interest in Osimhen could be a key reason behind Galatasaray’s move for Ilenikhena.

A loan deal is one option being considered if his situation does not improve quickly, although a permanent move could also come into play should Al-Ittihad soften their stance.
