Governor Uba Sani has assured members of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream I of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to Kaduna State of adequate security and support as they proceed to their places of primary assignment across the state.

The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim, gave the assurance at the closing ceremony of the orientation course held at the NYSC temporary camp, Government College, Kaduna, on Tuesday.

He congratulated the corps members for completing the rigorous orientation exercise, commending their discipline, unity, and enthusiasm throughout their stay in camp.

Sani urged them to embrace their host communities, respect local cultures and traditions, and see themselves as ambassadors of peace, unity and national integration, which he described as the core objective of the NYSC scheme.

“Your real mission begins now. You have been posted to different parts of Kaduna for a reason — to learn, to share experiences, and to help bring our diverse society closer together,” he said.

The Governor assured the corps members that their safety remained a top priority of his administration, noting that the state government was working tirelessly with security agencies to guarantee a safe and conducive environment for their service year.

He also disclosed that the state government had commenced phased upgrades of facilities at the orientation camp and reaffirmed its commitment to improving infrastructure and welfare for corps members.

Earlier, the NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, Mrs Efeke Murna Dadaza, said the corps members demonstrated discipline and active participation throughout the orientation course, describing the exercise as a success.

She urged the corps members to quickly settle down at their places of primary assignment and leverage the Community Development Service (CDS) platform to identify community needs and make lasting impact.

Dadaza thanked the Kaduna State Government for its support, especially in reconstructing some camp facilities, and appealed for continued assistance, particularly towards the establishment of a permanent orientation camp in the state.
