The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has confirmed that the recent issues between Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, have been resolved.
It said external forces that attempted to escalate the situation had been defeated.
The council said this in a statement issued yesterday by its Publicity Secretary, Kola Olomide, following concerns over tension between the governor and the monarch.

Quoting the CCII President-General, Ajeniyi Ajewole, the statement explained that the disagreement had been addressed through internal dialogue and traditional conflict-resolution mechanisms in Ibadanland.
Ajewole said the development reflected the strength of Ibadan’s internal leadership structure and the long-standing relationship between the two leaders.
He said the disagreement never reached a level that required outside interference because Ibadan elders and stakeholders promptly intervened.
“Nobody is planning to impeach Governor Makinde, and nobody is also planning to remove the Olubadan from his throne,” Ajewole said.
