A political support group has called on state governors and political appointees to do more in publicising the achievements of President Bola Tinubu as he marks his 74th birthday.

The National Chairman of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu Continuity 2027, Sani Ahmad, made the call in a statement on Sunday while felicitating with the President on the occasion of his birthday.

Ahmad, popularly known as Zangina, described Tinubu as a courageous leader whose vision and commitment to national development continue to drive Nigeria towards sustainable progress.

He noted that the President has shown “rare courage” in taking difficult but necessary decisions aimed at securing the country’s long-term prosperity.

He urged governors across the federation to step up efforts in communicating the policies and achievements of the Federal Government to citizens.

Ahmad stressed that Nigerians deserve to be adequately informed about ongoing reforms and interventions designed to improve their living conditions.

He warned that failure by state governments to properly enlighten citizens on the administration’s achievements could prompt actions to ensure accountability in governance communication.

“Governors must rise to their responsibility by properly informing their citizens about the achievements and positive strides of this administration. The people deserve to know the efforts being made at the federal level to improve their lives,” the statement added.

Ahmad, who doubles as the Deputy National Convener and North West Coordinator of the One North Movement, noted that Tinubu’s leadership style, particularly his ability to foster cross-party cooperation, has strengthened national unity and inspired members of opposition parties to align with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the interest of national development.

“As Mr. President marks this milestone, we wish him good health, divine wisdom, and continued success in his service to the nation,” the statement said.

He called for improved communication, emphasising the need for transparency and effective dissemination of government policies to the grassroots.
