The Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) has condemned the killing of Brigadier General Oseni Braimah and other soldiers during an attack on a military base in Damboa, Borno State, calling for decisive action against sponsors of terrorism.
Braimah and the troops were killed on April 8 when insurgents attacked the base, in what the group described as a “heinous and cowardly act” that underscores the dangers faced by personnel on the frontline.
In a statement issued by its Convener, Mary Abayomi-Fatile, the group extended condolences to the families of the fallen officers and soldiers, noting that the nation shares in their grief.

“We send our deepest condolences and heartfelt commiseration to the families of Brigadier General Braimah and all the fallen soldiers. We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss and grants the departed eternal rest,” the statement said.
The group hailed the slain soldiers as patriots who paid the supreme price, adding that their sacrifice would not be in vain.

It noted that although the military had recorded gains against insurgents over the years, the persistence of attacks on formations calls for renewed and coordinated national response.
PSNAFSA urged the Federal Government to identify and prosecute sponsors of terrorism, as well as dismantle their financial and logistical networks.
“The channels through which arms and ammunition are trafficked into the country must be effectively blocked, and those complicit brought to justice without delay,” it said.
It added that the fight against insurgency requires collective national effort, calling on Nigerians to support security agencies through vigilance and intelligence sharing.
