Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has visited leaders of Lagos East Senatorial District in continuation of his consultations ahead of the governorship shadow poll.
He visited All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, including Second Republic Secretary to State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, former Works Minister Adeseye Ogunlewe and eminent accountant, Prince Muyiwa Sosanya.
The deputy governor also visited one of his predecessors, former Deputy Governor Abiodun Ogunleye, who is also ex-chairman of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the state.
The trio belong to Governance Advisory Council (GAC) previously headed by his late father, Pa Olatunji Hamzat.

The leaders, who received him warmly, prayed for him and wished him success in his bid.
Hamzat wrote on his Facebook page: “Building on earlier engagements, our discussions remained honest and forward looking, focused on the future of Lagos.”
In an earlier post, the deputy governor waxed philosophical, saying: “It does not matter that some people are laughing behind your back, glad to see you fail, smiling in your face, while pretending to be your friend.
“You are not your mistakes, your failures, or your disappointments. Be aware, things will happen that you are not prepared for. Regroup; go back to the drawing board and comeback with a different strategy.
“Every day you have the opportunity to re-launch, revive and to reinvigorate your dream. You are more powerful than you realise! Dig in, challenge yourself and hold the vision. You are too loaded to be a failure.”
