Filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has attributed her success to hard work, prayer, and careful strategic planning.

In a post on X (Twitter), Akindele said her journey to achieving her dreams did not happen overnight but evolved through years of learning, persistence, and constant re-strategising.

The actress pointed to her latest project, Behind The Scenes, as evidence of her determination and commitment to her craft.

She also expressed appreciation to her team and fans for their continued support, assuring them of her commitment to telling African stories with passion and authenticity.

“My journey didn’t start in a day. It took learning, praying, and choosing to Restrategise, Reevaluate, Re-execute. That’s how BEHIND THE SCENES became a reality.

"Thank you, Mr Patrick Lee. I’m truly honoured. Thank you, FANmily. I’ll keep telling African stories with passion and authenticity”, she wrote.

Akindele recently received an award from the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) in recognition of her record-breaking achievements in the entertainment industry.

She dedicated the award to creatives who pursue their dreams with determination and consistency.
