Afrobeats singer Ruger has recounted how he missed an opportunity to feature in a film by Funke Akindele after failing to see her direct message in time.
Speaking in an interview with VJ Adams, the artiste said he had noticed that Akindele frequently listens to his music and had intended to reach out to appreciate her support.
He, however, later discovered that the actress had already contacted him with an offer to appear in one of her films, but he saw the message too late.
Ruger said the development left him upset, noting that it remains one of his biggest missed opportunities.
He added that he has a strong interest in acting and would consider transitioning into the film industry.

While acknowledging that acting can be demanding due to long filming schedules, he said he would be willing to commit if presented with a compelling role.
“I am interested in acting and wouldn’t mind going into the movie industry. I once missed a DM from Funke Akindele for a movie role. I didn’t even see it on time. That one still pains me,” he said.
“However, I think acting would be difficult for me because I don’t like shooting. But I would get into character still. If my character is interesting, yeah,” he added.
