Boxing fans will on Friday, May 1, have value for their money as social media stars Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus and Carter Efe will climb the squared ropes for a celebrity bout, tagged 'Chaos in the Ring'.

The fight organised by Balmoral Promotions in partnership with Amir Khan promotions will feature nine bouts and will take place at the Balmoral Hall of Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking ahead of the fight during their face-off, portable, who previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington in celebrity fights to win two belts, said he's prepared to add another belt to his collections, even as he warned his opponent not to venture going into the ring with him

“I'm warning Efe not to risk his life going into the ring with me because, I will not show him any mercy. He should realize that Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington are bigger than him, yet, I showed them my boxing skills. I won't show him any mercy on Friday because I want to use him to collect my third belt" he boasted.

Efe who was unperturbed by Portable's record, fired back that he's not afraid of him declaring emphatically that the ring will be the final judge.

"What I want to tell Portable is that, I have beaten many people in the past and in this fight, the ring will be the final judge as there won't be any hiding place for him”

Meanwhile, the main bout of the night, will be a symbolic WBO Peace fight between the Itekiri and Ijaw communities of Nigeria Delta region who will be represented by Arenyeka and Appah,

In the face-off, Appah sounded it clear to his opponent that he will set friendship apart to pummel him to submission, just as he predicted that he will end the fight in round six.

“I know that both of us are friends but I will keep that friendship apart when we enter the ring.

"Be rest assured that, I will treat you as an enemy inside the ring because am here to make my people proud and win the belt that rightly belongs to me and you're not going to.last beyond round six", he boasted.

In his reply, Arenyeka dismissed the threat as the ranting of an ant; saying that since his opponent boasted to beat him in round six, he will break his head and stop him in round five.

In their separate face-offs, Ghana’s Elvis Ahorgah and United Kingdom's Joe Laws added their own flavour to proceedings, with Ahorgah delivering his threats in the manner of Muhammad Ali, while Laws painted his face in the colours of the Nigerian flag in a bid to win over the home crowd against a fighter from a rival nation.

British southpaw Michael McKinson, whose father is a Nigerian also features on the card against Algerian prospect Mohammad Sahnoun and said he was looking forward to making a statement in his fatherland.

Chief Executive officer of Balmoral Promotions Dr. Ezekiel Adamu described the fights as an opportunity to give the boxers visibility and help showcase their talent to the outside world.

"What we're doing is beyond boxing and talent. It's to give African boxers the visibility they deserve. Opportunity to showcase their talent to the world and change their lives.

Other fights on the card features 18 year old sensational fighter, Raheem Animashaun who will face veteran Tanzanian boxer, Emmanuel Amos, National middleweight champion Rasheed Adeyemo will square up against Tanzanian Nicolaus Mdoe, Basit Adebayo will be up in arms against Loren Japhet, United Kingdom based Ghanaian Samuel Antwi who will be up against Congolese Paul Kamanga, while there will be a welterweight clash between Seun Wahab and Saidi Mkola.
