Representative of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment,  Badmus Abidemi, hailed the turnout and level of compliance, describing the exercise as “highly satisfactory and encouraging.”

At Kudirat Abiola Way and Ipodo Market, the clean-up operation witnessed significant community participation involving the Iyaloja of Ipodo Market, Alhaja Mutiat Apena; the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman of Ikeja, Alhaja Adefolami Taibat, and the Assistant Woman Leader of the LGA, Alhaja Mulikat Adeniran.

Waste was promptly evacuated by LAWMA trucks stationed at strategic points. Security personnel were also deployed across the area to ensure full compliance by residents.

The exercise continued to the Ikeja Under Bridge roundabout, where the Chairman, alongside the Vice Chairman and other officials, participated in clearing waste.

The team proceeded to Anifowoshe and later Abeokuta Street, where blocked drainages and canals were thoroughly cleared to prevent flooding and environmental hazards.
