The Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Sulaimon Olanrewaju Kazeem, has concluded the upgrade of all public primary schools in the council.

The initiative, which commenced in January included the renovation of school buildings, distribution of chairs, tables, and school bags, and the provision of over 30,000 exercise books to pupils in the nine schools across the five wards of the council.

“For children to secure a successful future, education must be the starting point,” he said.

He emphasised that free education in Ikorodu West must be robust, inclusive, and delivered without compromise.

He said that the project is a core vision for grassroots development, aiming to elevate standards in public primary education and provide young learners with the environment and tools they need to thrive.

He advised pupils to focus on their studies and make their parents, teachers and Ikorodu West proud.

“Education is the key to unlocking a brighter future,” he said.
