All is now set for the Easter Holiday Junior Tennis Clinic and Tournament, which is billed to start on April 7 at the Ikoyi Club 1938.

The annual tournament sponsored by Leadway Assurance Company Limited is in its eighth edition this year.

Young smashers are expected to use the clinic to further develop on their talents in the sport just as new ones, the beginners, are expected to learn about few things a stake off lessons about the game of tennis.

The Boys and Girls categories will witness hostilities in four categories which are the 5-7, 8-10, 11-13 and 14 to 16 respectively.

Already, the elite club has been working round the clock to ensure the young smashers enjoy the forthcoming tournament.

Games Captain, Segun Olajide, and Tennis section Chairman, Victor Onyekpa, are said to be ultra-busy in recent days as they are putting finish touches to the arrangements on ground for the Easter Holiday tennis programme.

According to the Tennis Section Administrative Officer, Gbenga Adetona, the Tennis Clinic will take place between April 7 and 19 at the Tennis courts of the Ikoyi Club while the Tournament is billed for Saturday April 11th  at the same venue.

Adetona expressed delight the Leadway has remained a consistent partner of the Ikoyi Club Tennis section just as he further confirmed readiness for the event.

 “Everything is in place, the Games Captain and Chairman will give further briefs in the days ahead but all I can say is that we are ready,” he said.
