Former Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State Prof Mohammad Sani Haruna has unveiled his plan for the Northcentral state.

“I’ll govern with the fear of God if given the mandate”, Mohammed told the crowd at the Keffi headquarters of Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone during a mega rally yesterday.

The rally was attended attended by hundreds of youths, women and different political groups supporting his gubernatorial ambition.

He told party faithful that he would go ahead to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms for participation in the governorship primaries of the party scheduled for May 21.

According to him, his exposure and achievements at NASENI which is spread across Nasarawa State and other parts of the country had prepared him for the task ahead.

He promised to give Nasarawa people a transparent administration by judiciously applying available for the benefit of all.

Mohammed said: “I’m going ahead to purchase the nomination form and will participate in the governorship primaries, you can be rest assured, what I can promise you, is transparent administration and judicious utilisation of your resources and keep the trust.

“I urged you to remain peaceful, to be calm, and obey the constituted authority. Learn to be your brother keepers. Fighting, insults, and all kind of vices that led to public unrest do not benefit anybody.

“It’s on the environment of peace, tranquillity and unity that you can thrive. The blessings that God Almighty has given this state through our work at NASENI, other states in the nation have equally benefited both physical and human capital development.”

He promised to build on the solid foundation laid by the previous governor’s - from Abdullahi Adamu, late Aliyu Akwe Doma, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and incumbent Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Mohammed said: “The manufacturing economy, industrialization, and  expansion of infrastructural development that are going on now under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, in collaboration with the none partisan traditional rulers have contributed immensely in maintaining the peace, progress and stability of the state, of which, if we have your mandate , we intend to continue with this, most importantly to ensure ultimate utilization of God given resources of Nasarawa State.”

He promised to embrace all tribes and religion to create a stable environment to develop the state and take it to the next level.

Mohammed also urged the people of the State to vote massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that the President played a key role in his career at NASENI even when he was not yet the president.

“I can’t count my success at NASENI without acknowledging the role that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu played in ensuring that when he was not the president and we had hitches that the then Chairman of FIRS refused to collect NASENI industrial levy which is part of the statutory funds required for development,” he said.
