The Ijebu Pride Network (IPN), led by its President, Basorun Dr. Femi Branch, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Ago-Iwoye-born business tycoon Abdul-Muftau Adekoya, Chairman of WOSAM Arena and the Ogbeni Oja of Ago-Iwoye.

The visit was aimed at formally introducing the Ijebu Pride Network to the community leader and strengthening ties with stakeholders committed to the development of Ijebuland.

Prince Adekoya welcomed the delegation and commended the organisation for its efforts in projecting the positive image of Ijebu people.

In his remarks, Basorun Branch expressed appreciation for the warm reception and praised Adekoya for establishing notable business ventures in Ago-Iwoye.

He noted that such investments reflect the type of development and employment opportunities desired by the people of Ijebuland.

The network’s Vice President, Dayo Amusa, also thanked the business leader for receiving the team, while other executive members acknowledged the hospitality extended to them.

During the meeting, the delegation formally presented a letter of intention proposing Adekoya as the Chief Patron of the Ijebu Pride Network.

Responding, Adekoya commended the group for its commitment to the advancement of Ijebuland, noting that the development of the area has always been his priority. He added that this vision influenced his decision to establish his businesses in Ago-Iwoye, with additional projects planned.

The visit featured discussions on community development and a guided tour of the WOSAM Arena facilities, including ongoing projects within the complex.

Those present included Adekoya and members of his team, alongside IPN executives led by Branch, Amusa, and the Secretary, Mrs. Toyosi Adesanya.

Other members were Mrs. Lola Ajibola, Director of Welfare; Mrs. Afolashade Omodesire, Treasurer; Mr. Sijuade Olalekan, popularly known as Ijebu Rewa, Director of Media; and Mr. Atanda Baffy, Director of Social.

The second phase of the engagement took the IPN delegation to Ijebu-Igbo, where they paid a courtesy visit to businesswoman Mariam Osifeso, popularly known as Alhaja Kerewa.

The organisation described the meeting as a significant honour, noting that the delegation received a warm welcome from the respected entrepreneur.

During the visit, the President of the network presented a letter of intention proposing Osifeso for a key role within the movement.

In her response, Alhaja Kerewa thanked the leadership of the network for their commitment to the vision of developing Ijebuland and pledged her support for the initiative.
