The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has clarified that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is not an ambassador of the authority and neither was she awarded any gig.
FAAN’s Managing Director (MD), Olubunmi Kuku on her verified X page (formerly Twitter) — @BunmiOnabanjo — was reacting to viral reports that the actress has been appointed brand ambassador of the authority.
The actress recently shared a promotional video focusing on FAAN, highlighting both new and existing services offered by the authority to ensure a smooth and personalised experience for passengers.
In the video, Iyabo explained that FAAN provides protocol services, which guide passengers through checkpoints to reduce travel-related stress and enable timely movement.

She also encouraged travellers to adhere to standard security procedures.
Reacting, Kuku said: "Iyabo Ojo was not “awarded a gig” by @FAAN_Official neither is she an Ambassador.
"She was only asked to raise awareness on transformational initiatives under this same Tinubu administration at the airport while shooting a movie scene."
Kuku further added that: "There was no financial incentive."
