A veteran journalist and media consultant, Mr. Wale Ajao has made several recommendations to the Federal Government to address various challenges facing the country.
According to Ajao, the establishment of an integrity commission and a national planning commission, as well as the adoption of new military tactics, will help to address some of the country’s most pressing challenges and promote more effective governance and development.
Speaking at the 2026 Founders’ Day lecture of Ladigbolu Grammar School, Oyo, Ajao advised the government to establish an integrity commission to screen political aspirants and prevent kidnappers, internet fraudsters, and other criminals from dominating politics.

The commission, according to Ajao, would receive petitions from whistleblowers and investigate the source of wealth of political aspirants to ensure they are credible and legal.
He also suggested that the commission should extend its scrutiny to all aspects of individual integrity, including verifying claims of educational qualifications and imposing penalties on those who make false claims.
Additionally, Ajao in the lecture emphasized the need for the government to adopt a more coordinated approach to national development, suggesting the establishment of a national planning commission to guide economic growth and development.
He noted that the abolition of the Ministry of National Planning had led to a proliferation of public institutions and a lack of direction in national development.

Highpoint of the lectures was the presentation of awards to the guest lecturer, Ajao who was recognized for his consistent service to the old students’ association.
